Hurricane Felix

BELIZE CITY, Belize, September, 2007

Hurricane Felix bypasses Belize completely!

Hurricane Felix made landfall on Tuesday morning near the border of Honduras and Nicaragua in Central America and is no longer a threat to the country of Belize.

The government and people of Belize take the threat of hurricanes very seriously and on Monday, September 3rd, the country of Belize was placed on Hurricane watch. Hurricane shelters were opened and voluntary evacuations were enacted on the cayes and low lying areas especially in the south of the country. By Tuesday, the Belize National Emergency Organization had declared the "All Clear" and many businesses re-opened.

Belize was not been impacted by Hurricane Felix and hotels, tour operators and tour guides throughout the country are open for business and welcoming visitors.

We invite you to enjoy the numerous VACATION SPECIALS being offered through November.

Thank you for your interest in Belize and we look forward to having you visit with us.
